WebPhonak’s proprietary frequency compression technology, SoundRecover, is currently available in various hear- ing aids from the manufacturer. This type of signal processing compresses the high-frequency bandwidth of the hearing aid s ignal into a region of usable hearing for a given listener (Simpson, Hersbach, & McDermott, 2005).
