In the case of healing spirit, you roll the d4 when you cast the spell. WebJul 18, 2024 · Healing Spirit is a spell that can restore hitpoints to a creature, so I would have to say it can trigger the Chalice effect. Only once, when it's cast, of course. It is impossible to heal anything other than yourself with Healing Spirit on your own turn. I mean, that's not true, but not in the way his party member is doing it.
